Italian Trade Agency Returns to World Maker Faire New York 2015 to Host Italy’s Maker Pavilion
The Italian Trade Agency (ITA), Italy’s government agency for trade and promotion, which recently supported Maker Faire Bay Area, returns for the second time to World Maker Faire New York as a Goldsmith Sponsor, extending its support of Italy’s Maker Movement. The show will take place on Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27 at the New York Hall of Science.
The New York Maker Faire is the largest of the 131 Maker shows that are held each year globally. New York’s 2014 edition hosted 830 maker exhibits and was visited by over 85,000 visitors. ITA will be showcasing its ‘Makers Italia’ project at World Maker Faire New York with its “Italian Makers Pavilion.” As a natural progression of Italy’s long history of arts, crafts, and embedded industrial systems of industry clusters, Italy has a strong Maker scene now developing within the country.

MAKER FAIRE 2015: L’ITALIA PROTAGONISTA AL GRANDE SHOW DELLA SCIENZA
dal 26 settembre fino al 27 settembre al New York Hall of Science il Maker Faire 2015, la fiera dedicata alle tecnologie manifatturiere additive e stampa 3D.
L’edizione di New York della Maker Faire è una delle più importanti tra le 131 che annualmente hanno luogo nel mondo: nel 2014 la manifestazione ha visto esporre 830 makers ed accorrere oltre 85.000 visitatori.
L’ICE-Agenzia, dopo il successo riscontrato tra le aziende italiane partecipanti alle collettive nell’edizione di New York 2014 e nella Bay Area 2015, curerà l’allestimento del Padiglione italiano per dare modo ai nostri makers di entrare in contatto con le multinazionali sponsor dell’iniziativa e con le migliaia di visitatori che affolleranno la New York Hall of Science.
Il Maker Faire il piu’ grande Show della Scienza – dichiara – Matteo Picariello – direttore ICE Agenzia Chicago – il Padiglione Italiano ogni hanno è uno dei principali centri di attrazione della fiera, il mondo intero ci riconosce la nostra capacità di inventare e creare in uno stile che dal Rinascimento contraddistingue il nostro paese e che lo rende unico. L’ICE-Agenzia di Chicago, coordinerà la partecipazione italiana alla manifestazione fieristica.
La fiera si estende su 6 padiglioni dedicati ad elettronica, 3D printing, advanced manufacturing, robotica, formazione, e ricerca/scienza. La scorsa edizione, nel 2014, ha richiamato più di 85.000 visitatori ed ha visto la partecipazione di 830 espositori.
Attraverso la presenza istituzionale al Maker Faire 2015, ICE-Agenzia darà assistenza alle aziende, ai centri di ricerca e ai makers italiani che in questa edizione saranno rappresentati da 8 aziende.
